Holiday Mini Cheese Balls Recipe

These easy-make appetizers are crowd pleasers and fun to get creative with! Choose the toppings according to your taste and serve with assorted crackers.

Ingredients

Cheese Balls

  • 16 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tsp Maggi Wurze Liquid Seasoning
  • 1 tsp World Market Garlic Powder

Toppings We Used

  • For white: 3/4 cup cashews, chopped small
  • For red: 1 fresh or roasted red bell pepper, drained on paper towel and chopped small
  • For green: 3/4 cup wasabi peas, crushed

Directions

Step 1

Using a stand mixer or a handheld mixer on medium-high, add the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder and Maggi Wurze seasoning to a medium bowl and beat until well combined.

Step 2

Cover the bowl and chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour.

Step 3

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Scoop out the cheese mixture using a 1 tbsp cookie scoop or a tablespoon. Roll into approx. 1 1/2"" balls (or to your preferred size) and set on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 4

Once all the cheese mixture has been scooped and balled, roll the cheese balls in the different toppings until the cheese balls are coated.

Step 5

Arrange the coated cheese balls on a serving board. Garnish with rosemary springs and serve with crackers. Serve immediately or chill covered in refrigerator for up to 2 hours before serving.

Other Topping Suggestions: Chopped olives, crushed potato chips, chopped flavored nuts or seeds, freshly shredded cheese, chopped green onion, chopped dried fruit.
